From that point onwards we had to use water taxi to reach land.
We returned the boat on Friday afternoon. The next morning, the base manager, Michael Wimmers (Base manager), inspected it and confirmed that everything was fine and that our deposits would be refunded in full! We have the signed document.
We obviously complained about all the problems we encountered during our time on the boat and asked for explanation. Instead, to our shock, the company charged the full €4,000 deposit.
The charge was made a week after returning the boat when it was already in use by other people. And to make things worse we had to find out about it by random check of the credit activities in our accounts.
After countless calls and emails, we finally received a fabricated list of damages. By “coincidence,” the total was exactly €4,000 – the exact sum of our deposits. This was not an honest mistake; it was a deliberate scam. Michael never contacted us again, nor did anyone take responsibility for this fraud.
⚠️ This company is dishonest, unsafe, and fraudulent. They provided a poorly maintained boat, endangered us with faulty equipment, and then stole our full deposit under false pretenses.
