- With the Zugspitz Ticket, there’s more than one way to reach the summit. You can choose between the cogwheel train and the cable car. If you take the cogwheel train to the Zugspitz Plateau, you can transfer to the Glacier Cable Car from there to reach the summit, and then take the cable car back down to Eibsee.
- The cogwheel train takes about 40 minutes, plus approximately 8 minutes on the Glacier Cable Car to the summit. The cable car takes about 15–20 minutes to the summit or back.
-The glacier cable car between the Zugspitz Plateau and the summit can be used as often as you like, while you can only make one round trip. So if you take the cogwheel train up and the cable car down, or vice versa, you’ve seen everything.
- You can officially walk from Germany to Austria at the summit. Both countries operate restaurants there, and there are various dishes available.
