点评:Marco picked us up with his van. The first stop was at family run farm in Belmonte producing mainly cheese. We got to see the making of the chees as well as testing. They had won 2023 year fist prize for unpasteurized cheese in the whole of Italy. The next stop was at a winemaker in Montelparó where we were lucky to see the harvest and part of the processing as well as testing the wine, Then a wonderful lunch at a family run agriturismo in Monte Ronaldo before we went to the olive oil producer in Macina to learn about the extra virgin olive oil, Finally to the monastry of Loro Piceno where the last nun left in 2013. We could see the old kitchen from the time of Napoleon and got an insight into the harsh and secluded life of the nuns. A full day with Marco as an excellent guide and driver. We returned tired but full of impressions and with some wine, cheese and olive oil that we bought along the way.
