Good museum, but very disappointing for BMW fans
宝马博物馆的点评
点评：The BMW Museum is generally a nice museum with some interesting exhibits, but unfortunately it has many significant downsides.
We are true BMW enthusiasts and really love these cars, which made our visit even more disappointing. The museum itself is quite small and feels poorly organized. There are very few car exhibits by series – in fact, only one series is properly represented. For a brand with such a rich history, this feels extremely limited.
The exhibits are scattered, not logically structured and lack a clear concept or storyline. As a visitor, it is hard to follow any chronology or understand the development of the brand in a meaningful way.
We also did not like the cloakroom area. There is nowhere to sit down to take off jackets or adjust belongings, which is uncomfortable, especially in colder seasons. In general, the museum feels very cramped. There is very little space overall, no real areas to rest, and everything feels overcrowded and tightly packed.
Ticket organization is a major issue. Even visitors who purchase tickets online for a specific time slot are required to stand in the same long queue as everyone else. We waited over 20 minutes outside in the cold, despite having tickets for a fixed entry time. The time slot was simply ignored, and there was no priority or clear separation between online ticket holders and those buying tickets on site. Because of this, we saw no real reason to buy tickets online in advance.
The museum was extremely overcrowded. This was our second visit — we returned hoping that things might have improved over the past few years, but unfortunately, nothing has changed.
As a recommendation: for people who are not BMW fans, we honestly see little reason to visit at all. And even for BMW lovers, it feels more like a visit “just to check it off the list.” If you are looking for something truly impressive, educational or inspiring, this museum will likely disappoint.
