点评：We stopped in on a whim on the way back from somewhere else, bought tickets on the door, and ended up spending a really pleasant afternoon there.
Started with touring the house of course, the architecture is genuinely striking and the rooms give you a good sense of how the place would have been lived in. Plenty of informational boards around the area that give you a good sense of the place's history.
Afterwards we walked through the grounds into the woodland up to the temple, and around the orangery/nearby garden. It's well maintained and it's peaceful - nice mix of open areas and tree cover, with some good views back towards the house. There are longer trails out to other parts of the estate which we didn't have time for unfortunately, but would be worth it if you're planning a full day.
It was fairly busy when we visited, so peak weekends might be worth planning around. Parking was fine and the staff were helpful throughout.
We'll definitely go back to explore the rest of the grounds properly.
