Impressive place with "certain limitations"
National Wallace Monument的点评
点评：This isn't just an ordinary place, you can feel the "magic" in the air :) so as everything great in life you need to come prepared for the following, and we visited in a pretty slow "late April" :
1. You can hike up the the hill, or stand in the line for a free shuttle - the shuttle takes about 10 people at a time to the top and returns right after - it sounds like a quick turn around, yes but only if there are not that many people in front of you :) and yes, you can take the hike up but it's steep and very narrow road that you do actually share with that same shuttle so you have to be cautious - we opted for the shuttle since my dad would not be able to walk up the hill and appreciated it big times
2. Once at the time, there is another entrance where you actually acquire the tickets - you can just admire the building outside for free and the views from the hill, but if you want to go inside you need to acquire the ticket, we did so on the spot - and from here you can go either on the 1st floor to watch a quick video/rest, have a gift shop visit, or start heading up stairs to through the actual tower
a. it's narrow but I made it to the first floor where an amazingly cool video is shown how Wallace was caught - also, his sword does reside here - the story is told in multiple languages via audio tour
b. you can continue up the stairs - I stopped as I don't do well with closed spaces, nor heights... so I stayed behind with my parents but my wife did go all the way up and the videos she shared with us were stunning!
Do check the times, as this place isn't open late and all of this takes time to enjoy - it's well worth it!

a. 塔楼很窄，但我还是爬到了二楼，那里有一段非常精彩的视频，讲述了华莱士被捕的故事——他的佩剑也收藏在这里——这段故事可以通过语音导览以多种语言讲述。
b. 您可以继续向上攀登——我因为害怕封闭空间和恐高而停了下来……所以我留在了父母身边。但我妻子一直走到了塔顶，她分享给我们的视频令人叹为观止！
请务必查看开放时间，因为这里不营业到很晚，而且参观需要时间——但绝对值得！
