点评:Not for the faint hearted, but my goodness is it worth it.
The walk up to the base of the monument is lovely. There is a shuttle bus if you wish, but there are little wooden carvings on the way, which is great for children if you are taking them with you. There are also some little pockets of information about building the monument.
You get a sense of pride walking up the monument. A sense of pride in William Wallace himself and what he stood for, and also for yourself for being able to get up there. 246 steps are not easy, but it is certainly worth it.
Little historical breaks are a welcome sight on the way up, with 3 floors full of information, including the Wallace sword, which in unbelievable.
Once getting to the top, you are rewarded with the most stunning views across Stirling and the Scottish country.
Would 100% recommend, but wear good shoes! :)
