点评:Took my partner here for a couples day out. Being a local, I've been climbing up and down the tower many times over the past 20 years. Still impressed by the whole place. Parking is good, cafe at the bottom of the hill serves a nice meal, and there is a shuttle bus that'll take you up to the tower for free. We chose to walk up, which takes about 10 mins for an average adult, or 15-20 for people with short legs. The Monument is atop the hill, so if you're visiting in spring, autumn and winter bring a wind proof jacket. The 3 floors are full of great historic information. The staircase is stone, narrow and can be tricky walking past another visitor decending if you're slightly larger than the average person. This was built before H/S, and Corn Syrup wasn't in their diets. The top of the Monument has fantastic view across the whole valley, and if you're okay with heights is an amazing view for photos. Even on a cloudy day, we could see for miles in all directions, even able to spot a hill walker at the top of one of the Ochil Hills near us. When visiting Stirling and the local area, this is definitely a bucket list place.
