An Important Suggestion
Lady Lever Art Gallery的点评
点评：Three generations of our family signed up for the life drawing class advertised at the Lady Lever today, coming from Wales to attend. Ten minutes from the start time, we received a phone call from a very apologetic member of staff to tell us the session was cancelled, as the tutor had called in sick. Initially a little disappointed, we asked the very friendly staff if we could go ahead sketch within the gallery anyway. They helpfully provided seats, clipboards and even extra paper. This ‘rescued’ our otherwise spoiled excursion.
A suggestion I would like to make is that if a workshop like this has to be cancelled at such VERY short notice, it would be quite easy to offer an opportunity to do exactly what we did, perhaps with ‘support’ from an artistically minded member of regular staff.
I felt very sorry for the person who bravely had to contact participants who would already have made their arrangements and journey at possibly significant expense, I imagine many will have been disgruntled.
The gallery is wonderful, I’ve been many times, can’t recommend it enough for the pre-Raphaelite art, the building and location.
