A really interesting place to visit
诺丁汉城堡博物馆的点评
点评：This was a lovely day out with our 10 year old son, we particularly enjoyed the Robin Hood exhibition and playing on the interactive games in there. The dungeon tour was good fun, too.
If, like us, you were expecting to look around the insides of a castle in the traditional sense - it's not really like that. Although much of the castle exterior still exists, most of the castle itself was burned down in a fire, so what you are actually visiting is a museum that's got more of a modern feel to it.
The cafe is stocked with plenty of choice and the gift shop has some lovely souvenirs. The staff are clearly enthusiastic about the history of this castle so it's worth having a chat with them to find out more.
If you do visit the castle, it's also worth checking out Brewhouse Yard, which is located at the bottom. It's a set of old houses that you can look through, with staff to tell you all about it and entry is included with your castle ticket.
A nice bonus, is that the ticket is valid for 12 months, so you can visit as many times as you'd like within that time. We spent about 3 hours in there, including the dungeon tour.
