点评:We struggled finding the place as our satnav was older and thought there were multiple roads off the A9 that no longer exist! If you’re going north start looking for the A9 (Inverness), turn off for Kingussie/Kincraig, and follow the B9152 north (it was about 10 mins before our satnav showed the turn).
Once we got there the staff were very helpful throughout the park. Suggest you either pay for a paper map at the entrance ticket booth, or take a photo of the big map sign on the left in between the wildcat entrance and the big polar bear and baby statue.
There are clearly good conservation efforts. Real shame there’s not more info on signs at animal enclosures, we were googling a lot as we went round (unless there’s some kind of audio guide or in person talks that weren’t mentioned??). Normally places will have a kid-friendly simplified version with games, and a separate detailed one for the adults.
Tip: the polar bear sign is a false friend, that path goes to a hide for deer/nothing, keep going up the hill. We also weren’t expecting the polar bear to be brown rather than white, had to go by the sounds to find it!
Nice clean toilets and mostly wheelchair friendly (suitable routes are clearly marked on the map).
Glad we went, the beautiful tiger was a real highlight as he started way over in his enclosure but eventually came right up near the glass.
