点评:Return visitors to the museum. We came back to see APC 134253, my Dads carrier, to hear his stories of his time with this carrier while standing next to it was invaluable .
The Museum is a credit to all those involved. A very important part of Australian history, for many it is an unknown story, for those who know the story of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam war it is an incredibly emotional walk through this exceptionally well presented space.
The personal stories need to be told and heard.
The exhibit regarding the 6 MIA men, the search for them, their discovery and their repatriation home is an amazing story of a monumental task, I would love to see this expanded, hopefully this will happen at the new site. I would also like to see faces put to the names of those on the Wall of Honour, they were not just names they were our men.
The diaromas are of exceptional quality, the attention to detail, just brilliant.
This is not just a Museum, not just a place of historical exhibits, this is a place of learning, a place of teaching and educating, a place of understanding, a place of solace, a place of great importance to those who were there, to those who lived with those who were there, and, to those who weren’t there and have no connection.
I was impressed to see visitors of all ages, and impressed to see the children interested and discussing exhibits with their parents. I was also impressed to see a wide range of nationalities represented by those visiting.
The gift shop is excellent.
