点评：I did not travel with Charlie the Traveler, but I feel it’s important for anyone considering booking with them to know about my experience. I am a local from Morocco, and Charlie approached me with an offer to act as a freelance “travel advisor” to promote his services. He proposed creating a landing page under my name, using my photos and details to present me as a Morocco travel consultant, and offering free 15-minute consultations to travelers. In reality, this was designed to market his agency—without being transparent that I was working on his behalf.
The arrangement was exploitative: completely commission-based, with no compensation for hours invested. Payment would only be made if a client not only booked but completed their trip, and even then, Charlie made it clear that I should not expect payment until months after the client had already traveled. The contract he sent also tied me to his agency as a “travel advisor,” though this was not be communicated with the clients or anyone else.
I am embarrassed that I even considered this offer. Throughout the onboarding process, both Charlie and his team were unresponsive, unprofessional, and at times rude. In my opinion, these practices are misleading and unfair. I strongly caution others to think twice before working with or booking through this company.
