点评：Every once in a while you experience something so memorable, it's like that "kodak" moment in life, that you will NEVER forget. Visiting Sean and Denise at Killer Bees Honey in North Carolina, is on the top of that list. Not only is the location absolutely remarkable by itself (where else can you sit on top of a mountain overlooking hundreds of miles of pristine untouched Appalachian mountains and Pisgah National Forest?), but you can actually watch bees fly in and out of their hives and have the company and knowledge of Sean and Denise. Sean is like an encyclopedia of knowledge about so many things - bees and honey in particular of course, and their hospitality was really something. His sensory perception when it comes to tasting honey is unsurpassed - I'd brought him a tiny jar of my own honey from my own bees (in another state) and he tasted it, waited a few seconds and said "Do you live near mangroves?" - we were just stunned. YES! I live on a canal in Florida very near mangroves!!!! The guy is just INCREDIBLE! We were speechless! He picked out other subtle flavors - but he must be one of the very few people in the entire world that has this kind of sensory sensitivity and of course education (he's highly trained as a honey Sommelier) . WOW. When people now ask me, where is my "happy place" (you know, the place you think of when times get tough - even as simple as sitting in the dentist's waiting room - when you want a soothing mental distraction), their apiary and that location on the top of the mountain will be my happy place. Truly one of the most memorable experiences - and let's not forget the actual HONEY! As pure as honey can be, untouched by chemicals and pesticides from bees foraging on the cleanest, most unpoluted blooms - breathing pure clean unpolluted mountain air, drinking clean, pure unpolluted spring water - their honey reflects the purity and sanctity of wild, unpolluted and frankly, just a totally clean environment (which is so hard to find these days). My friends just LOVED the Summer Sweet and we talked about it all the way home, how amazing it was. THANK YOU Sean and Denise for an experience of a lifetime, thank you for all you do to keep the bees and the honey as natural and pure as possible.
