点评：My wife and I visited Eilean Donan Castle during our trip through the Highlands, and it truly lived up to the postcard hype. If you’re looking for that "quintessential Scotland" moment, this is it.
The Experience:
The walk across the stone bridge is incredibly romantic. Because it sits at the junction of three sea lochs (Loch Duich, Loch Long, and Loch Alsh), the views are panoramic and breathtaking. Unlike some ruins that are just crumbling walls, this has been beautifully restored. The interior feels like a real home—we loved the banqueting hall and the 1930s-style kitchen which has some quirky, life-like details.
The Verdict:
It only takes about 60–90 minutes to see everything, making it the perfect break on the way to the Isle of Skye. We ended our visit with a coffee at the visitor center and some great local gifts.
