点评:I visited the Flea Markets during my recent trip to Paris and met dealer, Didier Benichou who has stores in both Marche Biron and Marché Paul Bert Serpette. I agreed to purchase two side tables, with delivery to my hotel on September 16. Didier knew I was leaving Paris the following morning.
I coordinated with my airline in advance to check the tables as excess luggage and also arranged for a friend in Los Angeles to pick me up with his pickup truck. I spent a significant amount of my limited time in Paris making arrangements around this purchase and stayed near my hotel on my final day because I was expecting the delivery.
On September 16, neither Didier nor his nephew Dustin responded to my calls or WhatsApp messages. No one contacted me to say that they were unable to complete the sale or delivery.
I understand that plans can change, but simply failing to communicate after making a specific commitment is extremely unprofessional. A simple phone call or message would have been enough.
I am posting this review so that other shoppers, particularly international buyers arranging to transport furniture home, are aware of my experience.
