Very disappointing, not very festive and car park a mud bath.

点评：Very disappointed with the Christmas fair. I have wanted to go for a few years so was excited to go today. While we were driving towards the car park on the field we started to see that cars had become stuck in the churned up field. This obviously worried us and whether we would be in the same position on leaving. Sections of the walk to the fair was extremely muddy and there was no way to avoid walking through it. The fair itself was overcrowded and many of the stalls were selling very expensive items. I have been to other fairs and thought this one unfortunately was very poor. There was very little Christmas feel. We spent only 45 minutes there so didn’t feel it was worth the £12 ticket. On our way back to the car we noticed another car that had become stuck and that Burghley staff were trying to pull out.The field behind our car had very deep grooves of churned up mud but thankfully we managed to get off the field but was very slippery. Sad to say I won’t visit again and unless they improve all these issues would advise others to avoid also. Such a shame.
