点评：A remarkable transformation of what was a very large brewery. The interior has been re-designed in an airy modern way with lots of wood, glass and original exterior walls.
The resources available are exceptional with Cornish records going back centuries and very clever IT (The Historic Environment Record) featuring peel-back maps showing landscape changes over the years.
Despite the enthusiasm of the staff (with the possible exception of the catering staff), Kresen Kernow seems not to have grown into the space available or to have found a way to enthuse enough potential visitors. In particular there was only one hard-pressed staff member to look after visitors and explain how to get the best out of the IT. This really needs one-to-one coaching and therefore more staff. How to pay for that and fill the various conference rooms is another matter.
Perhaps the answer for those interested is to start at the website: her@cornwall.gov.uk and after getting the hang of that, pay another visit.
