卢浮宫的点评
点评：The Louvre is a complete five star experience. The sculptures, paintings, and artefacts are all absolutely mind-blowing, and I would never be able to criticise such an incredible museum. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend viewing the Greek and Roman Antiquities, even though I am always slightly biased towards the Ancient World - I could have stayed in that gallery all day!
There were inevitably lots of crowds, but I thought the staff managed them quite well, particularly near the Mona Lisa.
However, I am afraid that we did get scammed with our tickets and accidentally bought them off a fake website that comes up first on Google when entering “Louvre” into your search bar. Fortunately, we were able to purchase them again at the ticket office with the help of a member of staff who was very sympathetic and realised what had happened almost immediately.
I would like to warn anyone visiting to make sure the website you are ordering tickets from (presuming that you wish to order your tickets from the official website) has “.fr” at the end of its website address.
I would also suggest that the Louvre Museum tries to take down or report any unofficial websites that they are aware of, instead of merely acknowledging it. This reason alone is why my rating isn’t five starts.
However, the actual experience of visiting the Louvre I cannot fault - it was everything I imagined it to be and more. Merci beaucoup to everyone at Le Louvre.
An absolute must-see for history enthusiasts, and definitely a home of the muses!
