A wet wintry solo visit that was very enjoyable ☺️
Colchester Zoo的点评
点评：While being a wet and wintry day in February, still a very enjoyable experience! Any staff I interacted with were kind and helpful!
I booked a day in advance meaning I took advantage of the discount for prebooking, it costing only £11 for my day visit. There is some form of yearly ticket available but I don't live local so couldn't make the most of it. I stayed around 3 hours and being by myself meant I could look around all areas that I wanted to.
Obviously, being a wet, cold day meant that crowds weren't an issue so could basically go anywhere in the zoo unhindered by crowds! ☺️ They've got many signs around the zoo suggesting you download the interactive app and I found it very helpful, particularly for directions to certain enclosures when there wasn't any staff around to ask for directions. They have audio commentary in some areas, although I didn't yake advantage of this function.
It being winter meant a few of the animals had been moved into warmer places out of sight of visitors. I imagine going in the summer would be advised to see all the animals they have in the zoo. It was good to see lots of refurbishment work going on around the zoo which shows they are planning for the future and looking at ways of making the zoo better for the animals and visitors alike ☺️
I would say as well the zoo is best for kids as there were so much information and fun activities to help them learn about the animals and environments. I would definitely advise strong parental supervision when exiting the zoo through the gift shop as there is a lot of bright, colourful things made to attract little kiddywinks 😂
Overall, a very good visit despite the weather and would love to come back perhaps in the summer when the animals are more likely to be enjoying the summer sun ☺️☺️

我觉得动物园非常适合带孩子去，因为那里有很多信息和有趣的活动，可以帮助孩子们了解动物和它们的生存环境。不过，我强烈建议家长在带孩子离开动物园去礼品店的时候一定要全程陪同，因为那里有很多色彩鲜艳的小玩意儿，很容易吸引小朋友的注意力😂
