Well worth visiting. Plenty to see and do. Easy to get to from Paris, and good value for money. You'll need a whole day to enjoy

点评：Versailles is well organised for crowds, (MUCH better the The Louvre in that respect). If you have a timed entry you will get in on time, as security is efficient.
The palace of course is magnificent from a historical, artistic and cultural point of view. The hall of mirrors is spectacular, especially the ceiling (as all the ceilings in the Château). The American Indian exhibition is particularly interesting.
There are plenty of catering establishments not only in the Château but also around the large park. Worth visiting is the Queen's Hamlet, a quirky collection of cottages in landscaped gardens. There's a lot of walking, but you can hire self-drive carts and there is a tourist road-train.
Transport from Paris is easy on RER line C and is very cheap with the IDF mobility card. It takes about half an hour.
