Canterbury Cathedral - Gorgeous Gothic Architecture
坎特伯雷大教堂的点评
点评：Canterbury Cathedral doesn’t disappoint. The architecture alone is absolutely breathtaking. In all honesty, one of my favorite experiences of visiting the cathedral was just walking up to it. The gothic design is an attractive aesthetic with pointed arches, massively tall windows, pointed spires, and detailed buttresses.
The admission fee seemed a bit high, but honestly, I would pay it again for visit the cathedral for the experience.
I went on a Sunday around 3 pm and it was not too crowded which was very nice. I was able to take my time and really appreciate everything around me.
One thing I really loved was the stained glass windows. Now, please try to view this from fun perspective, but I believe that one of the stained glass windows by Bossanyi that was installed in 1960 due to being destroyed in WW2 is incredibly beautiful to look at. I am spiritual as an individual and mean everything I say with the upmost respect.
However, I am a nerdy person and a fan of Doctor Who. I am going to include a picture of the stained glass window and you decide for yourself whether you see a TARDIS or not. What makes it so interesting is that the show didn’t air until 1963.
Overall, a visit to Canterbury Cathedral should be on your to-do list if you are visiting Canterbury!
