点评:Stopped here on a sunny windy day on our road trip down to Cornwall. Been wanting to visit for a while, and it did not disappoint.
Parking is in the nearby village car park, then you walk down to the castle from there. What's left of the castle has been preserved well, and the location alone is special, with stunning sea views and crashing waves. The bridge across to the castle is a great experience, it's high so be warned. You will do a fair bit of walking here to see it all, up and down, so be prepared. The Arthur monument is pretty cool, as it is stood alone on the cliffs, it really is a spectacular and dramatic location. Cafe is nice too. English Heritage have done a great job of preserving this piece of medieval history.
There is a small beach, with a cave, to add to the scenery.
We went during Easter holidays, and it wasn't too busy (around 1000 people were expected that day apparently). Staff member told us that over summer they expect 4000 people per day, which would be less enjoyable I imagine.
