点评:If you are a medieval history buff, consider putting this museum on your list for your 1st or 2nd visit to Paris. I waited until visit 7, but I really enjoyed this museum and I'm so happy we finally went. If you visit Saint Chapelle first, your will note some of the collection items are related. We did not buy advanced tickets in Sept and found the museum to be very sane and not too crowded. The works are well-organized, explained, and I appreciate that they weave in the history of influence of different cultures/rulers on art during the time periods represented. Obviously there is a lot of religious iconography, given the time frame of the collections, but the signage focuses on historical context over religious dogma. The building itself has an interesting history, and the interior courtyard near the café has some interesting Grotesques, so do look up. The tapestry collection is certainly the crown jewel of the museum and not to be missed. I'd give the museum 2+ hours in the morning.
