点评：We went ice skating on 20 December for the 6:45pm session, something we do every year as part of our Christmas tradition. Unfortunately, this year was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had.
Despite arriving 45 minutes early, we ended up queuing for over an hour because staff were busy talking amongst themselves rather than managing the queue. Had we arrived any later, we would have missed a large portion of our booked session.
Once on the ice, the upper rink was closed for maintenance, which caused severe overcrowding elsewhere. We were stuck in a traffic jam on the stairs for over ten minutes, and the two remaining rinks were far too busy to skate safely or enjoyably.
We waited around 20 minutes for the upstairs rink to reopen, only to be stopped halfway around by a steward and made to wait another ten minutes. By then, the rink had become extremely overcrowded and felt unsafe. We headed back downstairs, only to find that the downstairs ice had also been closed.
The constant opening and closing of rinks, lack of organisation, and overcrowding completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable experience. I have never been so disappointed.
We attend every year with three other families (around 20 people in total), and it’s safe to say none of us will be returning. We also have time-stamped photos if proof is required.
