点评:Had a fantastic day out with my nephew who is just under 2. We got there for just after opening and left at 3:30 baring in mind there was heavy rainfall in the afternoon. We spent about 45 minutes playing in the outside play area whilst the sun was shining before walking around, finding chickens, ducks, bunnies, horses, Shetland ponies, goats and of course donkeys! We brought feed for £1 a bag (same price as a sanctuary we had been to earlier in the week) and fed the donkeys which were friendly, easy to feed and comical. At 12 we got to groom 3 donkeys, the staff were ever so friendly and helpful.
After lunch we played indoors for about 2 hours. There's a separate section for under 3's which was a bit dated but my nephew couldn't care less. There was another separate section to ride around in little tykes cars and then another to race around in peddle tractors which was a big hit! The soft play was bigger than I expected with 2 tunnel slides and a drop slide (which I was brave enough to try). Plenty to climb and run around.
I think the price is reasonable as the farm is kept open on admission and donations, they have charts up to show how expensive it is to keep the place operating and rescuing the animals. If you take the time to read the animal descriptions and care about animals you will not begrudge the price. If I lived local I would get an annual pass.
I've seen other reviews saying it's only good for a few hours but I really think that depends on the age of your child. There were plenty of other young children there from opening and only left for the school run for their siblings.
I would definitely recommend wearing wellies even on a nice day. My nephew stepped in (on purpose) the grossest puddle whilst grooming the donkeys and he absolutely stunk. We all found this hilarious and just decided to throw his socks away 😂
4 stars as some things could do with updating as mentioned in other reviews but as I said kids don't really care as long as they are having fun and my nephew definitely did!
