Water was good but the facilities were poor and disgraceful treatment by staff

点评：We visited as part of an excursion. The baths themselves were fine but one the water spouts which is so boldly showed off in their adverts and the hot tub were broken. The changing rooms were very basic compared to other baths we visited. The steam “baths” were pathetically steamy.
Worst of all, our tour (which was poorly organised) gave us a sandwich for our lunch literally as we were going in. I was going to put it in my bag to lock away and eat after we left on the bus but the staff were very angry that we all had sandwiches. I understand they didn’t want us to eat them inside where they have a cafe but they wouldn’t let us take them inside to lock in our lockers. We went outside to the pavement of the car park, well out of anyone’s way. That wasn’t good enough for management though, they came to chase us out into the road to eat. We had already paid our entrance fees so it was too late to not pay the significant entrance fee. How greedy, petty and desperate must you be to chase clientele who pay good money into a gravel road in the middle of nowhere to quickly eat a sandwich? They are delighted to take big tour group’s money then chase them away when a tour operator makes a mistake. It was an extremley ugly and unpleasant experience. It is partly the tour operator’s fault but I’ve been across the world and never encountered such grim “hospitality” from a “premium” experience.
I suggest you save your money and go to one of Iceland’s many other baths which are much nicer and management doesn’t treat you like dirt.
