点评：Had a lovely couple of ours this morning at the zoo. It was our first visit due to being on holiday in the area. It cost about £16 for me and my autistic daughter (free carer). We arrived at 10 and were about 3rd in the queue, but there was a huge queue to get in behind us, we didn’t actually get through until about 10:15 despite being near the front due to them offering annual passes with tickets purchased and sorting that out. We didn’t take up on the offer due to living in Northumberland and knowing we wouldn’t be down here again within the year. We have a blue badge so was able to drive through the gates and up in front of the Meercat enclosure and the restaurant which was handy as it was in quite a hill.
We only had until 12 so by the time we got up to the disabled carpark we had already lost 20 minutes which only left an hour and a half to look round. We did love the zoo, we liked that it was quite small but the enclosures were easy to see in, we watched the tiger for a long time, we only saw the lion, leopard, lynx at a distance, didn’t see the jaguar which I was a little disappointed with. If we had all day we would have sat and waited with our fingers crossed outside the jaguar enclosure as that was the animal I was so desperate to see.
