点评:Amazing. Cheap day out (only pay for parking), so much to look at and learn, about half the staff when we went were really interactive with guests, map matches signposting.
Special shout out to Helen! We managed to be in 2 of the buildings at the same time as her and her knowledge, enthusiasm, and engagement were unbelievable. She knew so much, kept my children engaged whilst talking to them about the history, and answered all the questions they asked her - even if she wasn't sure of the answer! She told us she used to be a teacher, and what a phenomenal teacher she must have been. She'd be fantastic as a private tour guide! We'll be back in 2 weeks and we hope to run into her again to learn even more.
There were only 2 downsides - the iron age roundhouses, Llwyn yr eos, and parts of the woodland walk, were all closed for work. Lots of the building also had doors closed so couldn't see inside, and they've blocked up the windows on the Tailor's and Post Office.
We were also looking forward to the Miller demonstration however we went back twice and there was no one there (we went during the advertised time 1-5pm).
