Fascinating, free and family friendly!
圣费根国家历史博物馆的点评
点评：We had a lovely day at Saint Fagans and its beautiful surroundings. There is so much to see and you can easily spend hours exploring! The fact that this is free is amazing, it’s rare to find a free place to visit these days and there’s something to entertain all the family here. You have the option to donate at different points around the museum, but this isn’t mandatory.
We unfortunately ran out of time and didn’t get a chance to visit the gallery, but the grounds were wonderful and beautifully kept, so clean and pretty. There are several historical buildings of interest that showcase Welsh life and history, one of my favourites is the row of cottages that show how much life and technology has changed over the years. The castle and gardens are truly stunning and there are nice little shops and traditional fish and chips on offer.
We visited the cafe near the entry/exit and had a coffee and a slice of cake, the coffee and cakes were delicious but a little bit pricey. The shops were a little on the expensive side too, but with the entry being free we really can’t complain about that! The cafe offers both hot and cold food. You can bring your own food and drinks into the grounds if you’d prefer and there are plenty of lovely spots to have a picnic.
The museum is dog friendly and it was lovely seeing so many people walking their dogs around the grounds. There is an adventure play area with high ropes for children too which certainly seemed like a lot of fun.
