A lovely place but thought there would be more!
卡迪夫城堡的点评
点评：I was expecting Cardiff Castle to be quite big and expansive but it ended up being one of the quicker places we visited whilst in Cardiff.
When we arrived, the guy checking tickets to the left of the main gate was amazing. He noted that my husband has mental health issues from our booking and guided us accordingly as to what he would be able to deal with and what would be more tricky.
We went to the Victorian apartments first which was very busy but as the route is guided with arrows guiding the way, everyone is going in the same direction and you are only able to access certain rooms/areas, so this streamlines the visit to this part of the site. The rooms here are super ornate and there is a fair bit to look at.
After this, we sat for a while at the side of the keep mound before setting off down towards the wartime area. This area was quite dark with sounds of the war blaring out so we didn't spend too long here.
After this, we went to the café for food and drinks. This café is very popular and it is clear why - the food is fantastic here. Very tasty - especially the sausage rolls and the scones! The staff are diligent and helpful to a fault - could not complain about anything!
We then tackled the Norman Keep. There are A LOT of steep steps but I was determined to get to the top despite having a fear of heights! The view was absolutely worth it and the journey to it was certainly a memorable one.
Overall, is it worth the entry fee? Yes, but just don't expect more than there is. We were lucky to go on a great day for the weather and the views went on for miles but I think on a rainy day it might be a rather different experience.

随后，我们便开始攀登诺曼城堡。有非常多陡峭的台阶，不过虽然我恐高，还是下定决心要登上顶端！那里的景色绝对值得一看，这段攀登之旅也令我终生难忘。
总的来说，门票值不值呢？答案是值得，但可别指望能看到超出预期的景象。我们很幸运，当天天气极佳，视野开阔到望不到尽头；不过我觉得要是碰上雨天，体验可能就大不相同了。
