British branding, Egyptian gotcha tactics. That’s the truth of it.

点评：We chose Falcon Adventure because it presents itself as being British-run, which naturally makes you expect a higher standard of honesty and professionalism. That is exactly why this was so disappointing. In reality, it felt no different from the usual tourist-trap gotcha tactics you are trying to avoid.
The boat trip itself was good, which makes this even more frustrating. We enjoyed the day, the staff were friendly enough, and up until the end it felt like we had made a good choice.
But the trust completely disappeared afterwards. I specifically asked in advance whether there were any extra charges and was told no. Then, at the end of the trip, after all the friendliness and rapport-building, we were pushed towards paying an extra £250 for photos. That is completely unacceptable. If you are upfront about it at the start, people can make an informed decision or take their own photos. Leaving it until the end is deliberate and dishonest.
What makes it worse is the review pressure. You are encouraged to leave a glowing review before you have even properly left, which makes a lot of the positive feedback feel heavily influenced rather than genuine. When a company applies pressure like that, the reviews stop meaning much.
The whole “British” image feels like a facade. There was nothing more trustworthy, transparent or professional about this company at all. Strip away the branding and it felt like the same standard upsell tactics people expect from the worst excursion operators.
