点评：My husband and I explored the museum on a weekday and found it charming. We stayed about 1 1/2 hours and listened to exhibit commentary on the app they suggested we download. Before we started wandering around the house, a volunteer docent gave us an informative, engaging introduction to Herschel's work and life; he also pointed out the telescope Herschel used to discover Uranus. I was fascinated to learn that his sister also became an astronomer using skills she developed working with him. We saw the dining room and upstairs rooms and the basement, which was full of old tools. It was a worthwhile visit. While we were there, a mother with 2 young children arrived; there was a booklet at the main desk that she used with her kids to guide their exploration. They seemed to enjoy the activities suggested in the booklet.
