One of our favorite whisky tours in Scotland
Springbank Distillery的点评
点评：We have done 7 tours while in Scotland/Shetland/Orkney in over 2 weeks, and this was our top 2 - ironically this one was our tour #6 and tour #7 was also our favorite - to give you an idea that it wasn't that we got bored with them, they were simply good ones and better ones :) also, another testament to the tour's quality, Craig - his name is the only names I remember right away when I think of our tours, he was super funny, definitely the perfect man for the tour guide!
This is Campbeltown, so yet another "distinct" region of whisky - a dream come true of mien to be able to hit since it does actually require quite a drive from anywhere else in Scotland - my recommendation is to combine it with the trip to Islay, like we did as you will be passing the port for the car ferry that takes to Islay either way :)
The tour is informative, funny, and perfectly paced - not too long, nor too short - the whisky great, and finally after being disappointed in Highland Park of Orkney, here I finally got to see the barley on the ground - the smell of it was pretty memorable!
I had only Glen Scotia prior to coming to Springbank but as much as I enjoyed GS I must admit Springbank fell more into my liking due to the smoky profile (they do non smoky ones too) and actually pretty unique sweetness in it as compared to the smoky whisky from Islay - definitely a pleasant surprise after visiting about 30 distilleries in 2 weeks :)
Nice gift shop, definitely lots of small cool things, lots of things to try to as well - perfect for a visit
Unique mold on the walls in the aging building was something that I did not come across yet :)
TIP: they have their own parking lot, it's a bit unusual upon arrival as you enter a small alley and then between the walls/buildings is plenty to park at

在来Springbank之前，我只喝过格兰斯科特（Glen Scotia），虽然我很喜欢格兰斯科特，但我必须承认，Springbank更合我的口味，因为它带有烟熏味（他们也有不带烟熏味的），而且与艾雷岛的烟熏威士忌相比，它有一种非常独特的甜味——在两周内参观了大约30家酒厂之后，这绝对是一个惊喜 :)
礼品店很不错，有很多很酷的小玩意儿，还有很多东西可以试饮——非常适合参观。
陈酿车间墙壁上独特的霉菌是我以前从未见过的 :)
小贴士：他们有自己的停车场，刚到的时候有点特别，你需要进入一条小巷，然后在墙壁/建筑物之间有很多停车位。
