Creswick Woollen Mills的点评
点评：I purchased Creswick’s Fine Merino Wool Blanket specifically because it is marketed as being softer and smoother than their Essential Merino blanket. I had already experienced the Essential version, so I paid substantially more for the Fine blanket because of that advertised difference.
Unfortunately, the Fine blanket I received felt essentially just as rough to me as the Essential blanket. When I contacted Creswick, they treated this as a subjective “feel and softness” issue and told me I would need to pay return shipping to Australia before they would inspect it and determine whether it qualified for a refund.
From the U.S., the return shipping cost for this king-size wool blanket is approximately US$180.
My disappointment is not simply that I changed my mind. The main characteristic used to distinguish the more expensive Fine Merino blanket from the Essential version was the reason I purchased it, and I did not experience that promised difference.
I asked Creswick for a prepaid return label, a U.S. return option, or another reasonable solution, but they declined to provide a prepaid return label.
Buyers outside Australia should be aware of the potentially very high international return cost before ordering, especially if softness is an important reason for choosing the Fine Merino over the Essential.
