点评:Two practical notes from a first visit.
On photographs: coming towards the bridge, the better shots are from the right-hand bank — the side where the restaurants are. From there the whole structure sits behind you in the frame. We tried both sides and it isn't close.
On souvenirs: we assumed the stalls by the bridge would be cheaper than elsewhere, and they are not. Magnets and small gifts cost exactly what they cost by our hotel and everywhere else in central London. Prices are fixed and there is no negotiating. The only discount we found anywhere in the city was the 10% voucher at duty free and at Next, and that needs a £100 spend to trigger. So buy your souvenirs wherever is convenient — the location makes no difference to the price.
The bridge itself is everything you expect. Go at a time when the light is behind you.
