点评:This iconic WW2 Cruiser is moored just along from Tower Bridge and a short walk from London Bridge station. Overall I spent around 2hrs onboard and saw most of what was open to the public (it was a hot afternoon and sweltering inside). A lot of steep ladders and a few hatches to negotiate and so as you might expect, it’s almost impossible to navigate everywhere if less than mobile. The audio handset (with headphone) is useful for finding out information as you walk round and it’s good they’ve kept commentaries to around 1 minute each so you don’t lose attention. Have to admit I found the layout and route confusing at times but maybe that’s me! There’s an onboard cafe and volunteer talks at certain times (which are displayed near where you board) - I listened to a 10 minute talk on HMS Belfast and her time on the Arctic Convoys, the volunteer on Saturday afternoon 28/6 was knowledgeable and articulate in his delivery.
