点评：Had a lovely day at Hampton Court (food festival was also on and we had a walk around that). We got there early to avoid the crowds and ensure a parking spot (£1.80 an hour). We didn't listen to the audio guide as we like to go an adventure for ourselves. I had listened to a podcast after dark and I was interested in the ghosts of Hampton Court. I was very lucky to bump into a wonderful room steward called Kirsty that took time (and enthusiasm) to talk about the palace and it's ghost stories. Her knowledge was exceptional and her enthusiasm for her role and passing on her knowledge was impressive. I loved listening. It was a great way to spend our day and the gardens despite the heatwave we have had was impressive. The Dahlia garden had some wonderful different varieties. We loved it as a couple in our late 40s, but we did pass lots of families struggling to engage their younger children. All staff were friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome.
