点评:I love the story and have seen the play in Charlottetown and grew up watching Road to Avonlea. This site includes a house that has been remodelled to match the novel and was inspirational for the author, Lucy Maud Montgomery. It also includes some other highlights of the book, including Lover’s Lane, the Haunted Woods and the farmhouse. There was live entertainment when we were there which was appreciated, and it was a sunny day. The grounds are well taken care of and it’s a nice spot for some pictures. There’s a gift shop and Beavertails there as well. It’s worth visiting if you appreciate the story or if you’re looking for a historical example of a home in the early 1900’s, especially since it’s free this year with the Canada Strong initiative. If you’re there during a busy time, it can be crowded, but we visited early in the season.
