Illinois Beach State Park的点评
点评：Decided to go to the Illinois state beach from Elgin area, being it was free, compared to the near by north shore beaches. I haven’t been there in 25 years… and back then it was not very nice.
We went to the south entrance end, and drove down to parking lot area.
We were very impressed with cleanliness, renovations, sand, boulders, beach, water and area. Was not busy at all yesterday on Monday. Nice walk along shoreline.
But, the bathrooms were terrible. Tried two bathroom stall houses.
So, I emailed the park/ DNR about that part of my experience when I got home.
They emailed back this morning saying- they are short staffed but bathrooms and garbage are a priority and they will do something about it. That is good to bring things to attention for the mgmt/ staff, and hopefully make a difference for this nice beach and area to stay nice, as well to be respected by all the patrons who come.
