点评:All the animals were clearly suffering. One of the wild cats was even limping in its cage. Many were without water, a few were pacing back and forth clearly stressed, all the enclosures were way too small (especially cat and birds). It seems ridiculous that they had to be that small as the zoo property is huge and you have to take either tram/golf cart (costing extra money) to get around.
Not to mention there were still enclosures/exhibits that you’d walk to but find out later the animal had died and the enclosure was empty.
There was not a single worker taking care of the animals anywhere on the very large property. Instead the only “official” people we saw were watering plants, selling golf carts/ tram tickets, or selling overpriced food and crappy souvenirs.
And worst, the one place you could interact with animals was the Capybaras where you could go in and feed them between 10-12. We arrived at 11:35 and asked if we could do it. The lady (see photo) said no we were not allowed, that she was out of food but kept giving food baskets to other customers. Very surprising as everywhere else in Thailand we’ve felt very welcome. It felt very racist!
Overall a very bad experience - will not be returning and advising others not to go.
I hope the animals don’t suffer too much at the hands of these imbeciles and that they transfer somewhere else soon 😢
