Overpriced & Underwhelming
尼亚加拉大瀑布的点评
点评：So we came with our kids and friends for New Year's eve and a couple of extra days. Already from Ontario we have been here several times over the years. Our friends however are from South Carolina.
Watching Niagara Falls turn into a decayed, overpriced bump on the map is disheartening.
Areas in town that are away from the main areas like Clifton Hill are in need of repair as they appear to have been forgotten by local politicians and the municipality.
The facilities and venues we have visited so far seem to be meeting the bare minimum for the expectations. Nothing here is new anymore. Paint over paint over paint is about as much renovating that seems to have gone on. The service has been great though. I guess the folks here know their challenges and are trying to makeup for it but the pricing is pretty high for everything. Not to mention they have a mandatory tourist tax on all of your purchases. I think its like 3 or 4% on top of the already high prices and HST you pay. Most attractions seem to be designed to shuffle the cattle through as quickly as possible, like pay 30 for a ticket and get 12 minutes of any sort of enjoyment or excitement.
If youre looking for a budget friendly getaway, this is definitely NOT the place.
Worth visiting but my advice is do your research and choose your venues and attractions and price everything out before you come so you dont get any sticker shock.
