拉斯阿杰斯科学馆的点评
点评：I had an overall very good stay at the hotel and a truly memorable experience at the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. I was lucky enough to see turtles during both the evening tour and the sunrise tour, which made the visit very special.
The evening tour, in particular, was excellent: well organized, informative, and led by a knowledgeable guide who explained a lot about the turtles and their behavior. It felt professional and engaging.
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the sunrise tour. Although we did eventually see a turtle that had just finished laying her eggs—which was still emotional and beautiful—the overall experience did not match the quality of the evening tour.
It felt like there was less effort put into the sunrise experience, possibly because it was only me and my boyfriend attending (other guests chose not to join). The guide, while kind, spoke very little English and did not provide any explanations or additional context, unlike the evening guide.
Additionally, while it was still dark, the guide used a regular flashlight instead of a red light, which is less disturbing for the animals (as was correctly done during the evening tour). There also seemed to be no coordination with other rangers to locate turtles along the beach, and the tour felt more like a simple walk hoping to spot something.
Since both tours are priced the same, I would expect the same level of quality, effort, and professionalism in both experiences.
Overall, I am still happy I visited and grateful for the chance to see the turtles twice, but I believe the sunrise tour could be significantly improved. I also add that unfortunately the beach was full of plastics :(
