禾木草原的点评
点评：We visited Hemu Village in May, and honestly, it may not be the best time to go. The village was in a preparation and rebuilding phase, with a lot of construction happening throughout the area. Unfortunately, even our rented house wasn’t spared—workers were doing repairs late at night, which made it difficult to sleep.
It also felt like the village is being developed heavily for tourism, with new houses being built everywhere, which took away some of its natural charm.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown of our experience:
We started from Altay, and the journey to Hemu took around 6 hours.
The village wasn’t crowded—probably because it’s not peak season yet—and we were able to travel in the village by private car.
The food was quite enjoyable. We tried lamb hot pot, which was flavorful without being too fatty, oily, or overly spicy.
The scenery is still beautiful. You can view the village from multiple angles, and there’s a small hill just 5–10 minutes away that offers a great panoramic view.
We only stayed for a little over a day, so we didn’t have time to explore further outside the village. I believe there’s much more to see if you stay longer.
Overall, while Hemu has stunning scenery, visiting during the construction period may affect your experience.
