Spike Island的点评
点评：We visited Spike Island today as a family with two teenage girls - and we all loved it. The whole island is fascinating and can be either self guided or take part in an organised tour (this lasts approx 45 mins). We opted to take the guided tour, and so glad that we did. Our guide was Euan, whose family are actually from the island, he was passionate, knowledgeable and pointed out things in the local history that I was not aware of. The overall experience from start to finish was amazing, all of the staff were helpful, courteous and all seemed to be really interested/committed to their respective roles, the girl in the ticket booth asked every visitor if they had been before, and made return visitors aware of new attractions - great touch as it created awareness that the island is constantly being developed. The one issue we did have was with the interactive App (Imvizar), tried to use it in multiple locations, but simply wouldn't activate the video, this didn't spoil things as there are loads of display stands with information. Loads to see and do, a great mix of military and internment history, can't speak highly enough.
