点评:Visited today with my husband, who uses an electric wheelchair, and our dog. We both paid full price to just visit the gardens as we knew he wouldn't be able to access the palace. I should probably have asked about concessions for carers, but nothing was offered. The ticket office/entrance itself was difficult for him to negotiate, there was a ramp in but nothing to get out the other side! The girl on the desk was very helpful and went and moved the ramp for us so he could get out, but unfortunately this was typical of our whole experience. The gardens are beautiful, and we were able to get into the orchard relatively easily. Unfortunately a lot of other parts of the garden have steps, and we were unable to go into the kitchen garden with the dog due to the beehives. My husband was unable to see a lot of the areas of the garden and ended up stuck trying to get out of the area where the ponds were due to a step. He had to get out of his wheelchair and some people helped me lift it up. A tiny ramp would have prevented this. All in all, it's probably a nice day out if you're able bodied, but pointless if you're disabled. Obviously these old buildings were not built with accessibility in mind, but a few simple ramps and a moment's thought would have made the experience so much better.
