点评:We visited yesterday with two local friends. As with all of the other Chinese “Ancient Towns” we have visited it is far, far too commercialised and is basically a huge shopping street however it did feel a little more pleasant than most. Perhaps this was because immediately after the National Holiday and the crowds were not too bad.
On the plus side there was a superb, small temple we found by accident and it felt amazingly peaceful away from all of the shops and restaurants. The town walls look and feel far too new to be thought of as ancient but provide a great walk for the fit and healthy!
My wife adored the pigs feet served up in one of the restaurants known by our friends whereas I, not being Chinese, loved the fried potato cakes!
We sat on stone steps in the sunshine looking out over the town and drank wine as the crowds walked by!
