点评:While waiting to check in for our caravan we visited here to waste a couple of hours. It was such an interesting castle that was worth the price of the tickets. Though it is in partial ruin, I did enjoy how preserved some points are or how I could see where the building would have been.
There is a lot of stairs there are quite steep and narrow, understandably so given the age of the place. There was an accessible path, thankfully, but after rain it was quite boggy. I loved how there were information plaques littered around to tell us some history or make the place seem lived in. I liked that dogs were welcome so it was cool to see dogs roaming around, enjoying the space too.
The grounds were also beautiful with daffodils everywhere.
There is no cafe inside but there is a little coffee van in the carpark and the toilets are also in the carpark.
I really recommend checking this out.
