An iconic Guadalajara monument that is difficult to approach safely

点评：Glorieta de La Minerva is undoubtedly one of Guadalajara’s defining landmarks. The statue, fountain, and broad circular setting create an impressive urban scene, and the monument has a strong visual presence whether viewed during the day or illuminated at night.
It is an excellent place to see and photograph as part of a tour through the city, but the experience is limited by the surrounding traffic. The roundabout is extremely busy, and the constant flow of vehicles makes it difficult—and in my view unwise—to attempt to get very close to the monument. Most visitors will have a better experience viewing it from one of the surrounding sidewalks or from a safe distance.
That is the only reason I am giving it four stars rather than five. The monument itself is excellent and fully deserves its status as a Guadalajara icon, but safer and more convenient pedestrian access would make the visit much more enjoyable.
