Disappointing Change to Halloween Haunt After Pass Purchase

点评：My family has been long-time season pass holders at Canada’s Wonderland, and this was the first year we left feeling disappointed. I purchased a Gold Pass and meal plan in 2024 largely because Halloween Haunt had always included access to the haunted houses and mazes. That long-standing expectation changed after the purchase was made.
Months later, Wonderland announced that haunted mazes would require a separate Haunted Attractions Pass. On top of that, a new policy required anyone under 18 to be accompanied by an adult, which meant I also had to purchase an additional pass just to accompany my child. These changes significantly increased the cost and reduced the value of what we originally believed we were buying.
I contacted guest services multiple times to explain that the issue was not the new structure itself, but the timing and lack of clear communication before purchase. Unfortunately, the responses were generic, did not acknowledge the concerns raised, and ultimately stated that nothing would be done.
Halloween Haunt is still advertised as included, but without the mazes, the experience feels incomplete compared to previous years. After many years of loyalty, this experience has led our family to decide not to renew our passes.
